🤘 AC/DC’s "Christmas Mistress"

This story comes straight out of the song "Mistress for Christmas", dropped by AC/DC back in '90 on their album The Razors Edge.

The lyrics are total chaos. It’s all about asking Santa Claus for something a little spicier than what he’s got in his sack. Lead singer Brian Johnson puts it plain and simple in the chorus: "Hey Santa, what’s up? Just a mistress for Christmas Day!"

When they asked Angus Young (the guitarist in the schoolboy outfit) who inspired him to write that track, his answer was totally wild and brutally honest!

"I think the funniest song on this record is 'Mistress For Christmas.' That song is about Donald Trump. Back then he was the talk of the town, so we thought it’d be cool and we’d poke some fun at it."

Around the time they made the song, real estate mogul Donald Trump was dominating the news cycle thanks to a massive media scandal. The whole mess was over his extramarital affair with Marla Maples while he was still married to Ivana Trump!

With their raw, unfiltered humor, AC/DC completely nailed that media circus. They pictured a high-profile guy with tons of cash asking for a "mistress" like it was a basic Christmas present. They bridged the gap between holiday greed and excess with their signature hard rock style.
