🤭 Powered by tamales! The time Nirvana got kicked out of their own party

Here is the tea: turns out the release party for Nirvana's legendary album Nevermind turned into an absolute disaster. The culprits? The band themselves, who got tossed from their own event after starting an all-out food fight with flying tamales and spoonfuls of guacamole.

It all went down on September 13, 1991, at the Re-bar club in Seattle. The party was barely getting started, and these guys were already completely hammered. Out of nowhere, they thought it would be a great idea to start throwing food. Just imagine the scene: a room packed with music industry snobs, looking all stiff, dressed to the nines, and smelling like expensive perfume... and then, BOOM! A sloppy tamale right to the face.

Naturally, things went off the rails real fast. Guacamole was flying through the air, landing on anyone in sight, with zero respect for fancy suits or ties. Seeing the absolute chaos they were making, the bar owner, Steve Wells, didn't think twice: he grabbed Kurt Cobain and his crew and kicked them straight to the curb. Mind you, he got them out just in time for them to throw up their dinner right on the sidewalk.

Years later, bassist Krist Novoselic cracked up remembering the incident: "Holy shit, we got kicked out of our own party!" In the end, the booze and the flying tamales solidified Nirvana's status as absolute rock 'n' roll wild cards who answered to nobody.
