๐ "Zootopia" The day Shakira became a gazelle
Get ready to shake those hips (and ears)! If you thought Gazelle's biggest flex was getting a 400-pound ox to dance in tiger tights, hold onto your hats, because the brightest queen of the savanna is back in 2026. In 2016, Disney introduced us to Gazelle. She wasn't just a concert pop star; she was the voice of reason in a city on the verge of collapsing from animal panic. Shakira specifically asked for the character to be more curvaceous. No skinny runway gazelles here; she wanted Gazelle to have hips because, as we all know, hips don't lie (not even in the animal kingdom). Shakira brings that warmth and unique voice that fit like a glove with the movie's message of optimism and resilience. Plus, seeing her immortalized as an animated pop star is just an absolute treat. And if "Try Everything" got everyone singing along in Zootopia 1, "Zoo" drove the world wild in Zootopia 2โit has that touch of "Latin flavor" that Shakira always roots for. In fact, the song includes a line in Spanish, because Shakira knows Latin vibes sound amazing even in the jungle. But she didn't go solo this time. For the sequel's soundtrack, the Colombian icon joined forces with none other than Ed Sheeran to drop "Zoo," the new anthem that has already smashed records across all platforms. Fun fact: Shakira mentioned that her kids are the movie's number-one fans, so playing Gazelle is basically her way of winning the "Coolest Mom in the World" award.
